INTRINSIC ELEMENTS IN SHORT STORIES "MENJELAM LEBARAN," "MBOK JAH," AND "DRS CITRAKSI" AND "DRS CITRAKSA" ​​BY UMAR KAYAM AS ALTERNATIVE INDONESIAN LANGUAGE TEACHING MATERIALS IN HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract

The formulation of the research problem is. 1) How are the intrinsic elements in the short stories "Before Eid, Mbok Jah, and Drs Citraksi and Drs Citraksa" by Umar Kayam? 2) Can the intrinsic elements in the short stories "Before Eid, Mbok Jah, and Drs Citraksi and Drs Citraksa" by Umar Kayam be used as alternative Indonesian language teaching materials in high school? Research Objectives 1) To find out the intrinsic elements in the short stories "Before Eid, Mbok Jah, and Drs Citraksi and Drs Citraksa" by Umar Kayam. 2) To find out whether the intrinsic elements in the short stories "Before Eid, Mbok Jah, and Drs Citraksi and Drs Citraksa" by Umar Kayam can be used as alternative Indonesian language teaching materials in high school. The population in this study is the short stories "Menjelang Lebaran", "Mbok Jah", and "Drs Citraksi dan Drs Citraksa" by Umar Kayam, while the sample is the intrinsic elements in the short stories "Menjelang Lebaran", "Mbok Jah", and "Drs Citraksi dan Drs Citraksa". This research method is a descriptive analysis research method. In its implementation, it uses library study and documentation techniques, namely in this way, then an analysis of the three short stories "Menjelang Lebaran", "Mbok Jah", and "Drs Citraksi dan Drs Citraksa" is carried out, the next step is to adjust the intrinsic elements with KIKD, adjust the intrinsic elements with Developmental Psychology, and psycholinguistics. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded as follows. 1) The analysis of intrinsic elements in the short stories "Menjelang Lebaran", "Mbok Jah", and "Drs Citraksi dan Drs Citraksa" by Umar Kayam is very detailed, therefore the author cannot summarize one by one the results of the analysis of intrinsic elements in the abstract. 2) The suitability of the intrinsic elements of the short stories "Menjelang Lebaran", "Mbok Jah", and "Drs Citraksi and Drs Citraksa", with the Core Competencies and Basic Competencies of the Indonesian language subject in high school, the author can conclude that the intrinsic elements in the three short stories are in accordance with (KI KD), which is appropriate for grade XI of high school compulsory section. 3) The suitability of the intrinsic elements in the short stories "Menjelang Lebaran", "Mbok Jah", and "Drs Citraksi and Drs Citraksa" by Umar Kayam with Developmental Psychology, it is concluded that the intrinsic elements in the short stories are suitable for developmental psychology in the development phase of ages 14-21 so they can be used as alternative Indonesian language teaching materials in high school. 4) The suitability of the intrinsic elements in the short stories "Menjelang Lebaran", "Mbok Jah", and "Drs Citraksi and Drs Citraksa" by Umar Kayam with Psycholinguistics is suitable for ages 14-21 because at that age children have received instruction about language/are proficient, so the intrinsic elements of short stories are used as alternative Indonesian language teaching materials in high school.
