MORAL VALUES IN THE DRAMA SCRIPT "SOBRAT" BY ARTHUR S. NALAN (A Study of Islamic Moral Perspectives in Terms of Theme, Character, Conflict, and Moral Message)

The problems in this research are: 1) what is the theme in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur S. Nalan?; 2) what are the characters in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur. S. Nalan?; 3) what is the conflict in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur. S. Nalan?; 4) what is the message in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur S. Nalan?; 5) what is the moral value in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur. S. Nalan?. The purpose of this research is: 1) to know the theme in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur. S. Nalan; 2) to know the characters in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur. S. Nalan; 3) to know the conflict in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur S. Nalan; 4) to know the message in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur. S. Nalan; 5) to know the moral value in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur. S. Nalan. This research method is descriptive qualitative. This research technique is data acquisition technique (literature study and documentation) and data processing technique. The population in this study is the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur S. Nalan. The sample in this study is the intrinsic elements of the theme, characters and character traits, conflicts and messages in the drama script "Sobrat" by Arthur S. Nalan. Conclusion: 1) the theme in the drama script "Sobrat" is human failure in controlling their desires and lusts; 2) The character of the character Sobrat in the drama script "Sobrat" is good, respectful to his mother and loving to others but then experiences a shift to evil. The character of Rasminah in the drama script “Sobrat” is good, innocent, and resigned to reality. The character of Inang in the drama script “Sobrat” is evil. The character of Mongkleng in the drama script “Sobrat” is evil. The character of Surobromo in the drama script “Sobrat” is evil. The character of Mandor Bokop in the drama script “Sobrat” is cruel. The character of Mandor Burik in the drama script “Sobrat” is cruel and cruel. The character of Silbi in the drama script “Sobrat” is evil; 3) The conflict in the drama script “Sobrat” is as follows. (1) Sobrat’s inner conflict is a conflict of approaching-moving away. The conflict ends with Sobrat's regret for leaving his mother. (2) Sobrat's conflict with the foremen is a conflict (physical conflict) of approaching-moving away. Sobrat's conflict with the foremen ends with the foremen submitting to Sobrat. (3) Sobrat's conflict with Silbi is a conflict of approaching-moving away (physical conflict). Sobrat's conflict with Silbi ends with Sobrat's blindness and deafness. (4) Sobrat's conflict with morals is a conflict of moving away-moving. The conflict ends with Sobrat's return to the teachings of Islam; 4) The message in the drama script "Sobrat" is to obey the orders of parents, do not follow lust, do not associate partners with God, avoid gambling and adultery, put your trust in the trials given, always be patient, grateful, and pray; 5) The moral values in the drama script "Sobrat" which include commendable morals are to believe in Allah, be patient and grateful, obey the orders of parents, do good and like to help others. The moral values in the drama script "Sobrat" which include reprehensible morals are associating partners with God, gambling and adultery, not following parental advice, lying, being cruel, arrogant, not resolving problems through deliberation, not loving peace, and mistreating animals.
