Abstract

This research is a description of the analysis of loan words in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno based on the language of origin, word types, and the process of formation, which is motivated by the author's curiosity about the absorption of foreign and regional languages ​​into Indonesian contained in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno. This concerns the following problem formulations: (1) What loan words are found in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno? (2) What regional loan words are found in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno? (3) What foreign loan words are found in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno? (4) What types of words are the loan words found in the sentences in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno? (5) What is the process of forming loan words in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno? The aims of this research are (1) To find out the loan words in the drama script "opera kecoa" by N. Riantiarno, (2) To find out the loan words from regional languages ​​in the drama script "opera kecoa" by N. Riantiarno, (3) To find out the loan words from foreign languages ​​in the drama script "opera kecoa" by N. Riantiarno, (4) To find out the types of words in the loan words contained in the sentences in the drama script "opera kecoa" by N. Riantiarno, (5) To find out the process of forming loan words in the drama script "opera kecoa" by N. Riantiarno. The method used in this research is the analytical descriptive method, and uses data collection techniques through documentation. The object of research used by the author is a drama script based on the results of the research above, the following conclusions are obtained: (1) In the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno there are loan words from foreign languages ​​and regional languages, (2) Regional loan words in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno come from Sanskrit, (3) Foreign loan words in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno come from Dutch, Arabic, Portuguese and English, foreign loan words are mostly absorbed from Dutch, (4) Analysis of loan words based on the types of words obtained in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno are mostly included in the type of nouns, (5) the formation process in the drama script "Opera Kecoa" by N. Riantiarno uses more adaptation processes.
