IMPROVING STUDENTS' ABILITIES IN FINDING INTERESTING THINGS FROM FAIRY TALES THAT THEY HEAR THROUGH GROUP COOPERATION

Abstract

A study was conducted to achieve the objectives, the researcher conducted a classroom action research entitled Improving Students' Ability to Find Interesting Things from Fairy Tales Heard Through Group Collaboration in order to provide benefits for researchers, students, and schools. The classroom action research procedure for learning to listen to fairy tales has been carried out by researchers up to 2 (two) cycles. In the first cycle, it was designed from the results of reflections on daily learning activities. Meanwhile, in the second cycle phase, it was designed from the results of reflections on the first cycle. In this way, it is expected that in the second cycle all students will improve their ability to listen to fairy tales and find interesting things through group collaboration. The data used to measure the level of ability to listen to fairy tales through group collaboration is data from the results of group collaboration in the first and second cycles. Because the data is in the form of numbers, the data processing technique used is a quantitative technique. The results of observations found several improvements in student skills as follows: There has been an increase in critical thinking skills when students are assigned to find interesting things from the fairy tales they hear. The average listening skill in the first cycle is 57 and the second cycle is 100.
