MAXIMS OF POLITENESS USED BY DEDDY COURBUZIER ON THE SHOW “HIGH AND WHITE” AND ANDI FLORES NOYA ON THE SHOW “KICK ANDY”

Abstract

The title of this research is Politeness Maxims Used by Deddy Courbuzier on the “Hitam Putih” Program and Andi Flores Noya on the “Kick Andy” Program. Problem Formulation: 1) What maxims are used by Deddy Corbuzier on the “Hitam Putih” program? 2) What maxims are often used by Deddy Corbuzier on the “Hitam Putih” program? 3) What maxims are used by Andi Flores Noya on the “Kick Andy” program? 4) What maxims are often used by Andi Flores Noya on the “Kick Andy” program? 5) How is the difference in the use of politeness maxims by Deddy Corbuzier on the “Hitam Putih” program and Andi F. Noya on the “Kick Andy” program? Method: descriptive qualitative. Conclusion: The politeness maxims used by Deddy Corbuzier on the “Hitam Putih” program are the maxim of wisdom 8 (eight) times, the maxim of appreciation 22 (twenty-two) times, the maxim of simplicity 2 (two) times, the maxim of agreement/suitability 13 (thirteen) times, and the maxim of sympathy 41 (forty-one) times and the maxim that is often used is the maxim of sympathy. Meanwhile, Andi Flores Noya on the “Kick Andy” program uses the maxim of wisdom 2 (two) times, the maxim of generosity 1 (one) time, the maxim of appreciation 32 (thirty-two) times, the maxim of agreement/suitability 4 (four) times, and the maxim of sympathy 18 (eighteen) times and the maxim that is often used is the maxim of appreciation. The difference in the use of politeness maxims by Deddy Corbuzier on the program “Hitam Putih” and Andi Flores Noya on the “Kick Andy” show is that Deddy Corbuzier uses the sympathy maxim more often while Andi Flores Noya uses the appreciation maxim more often.
