A STUDY OF PURWA PUPIL GOLEK CHARACTERS AND THEIR USE AS TEACHING MATERIALS IN DELIVERING LITERATURE TEACHING TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' CHARACTER VALUES

Abstract

Teaching materials are part of learning that have an important role to answer the demands of the curriculum. The teaching materials in question are teaching materials for Indonesian Language education which are the entry point to achieve the demands of Core Competencies and Basic Competencies in the 2013 curriculum. The teaching materials that will be delivered to students should be teaching materials designed by the subject teachers in question by paying attention to the demands of KI and KD in the curriculum used, in this case the curriculum. The accuracy of the creation of teaching materials plays a very important role so that the demands in the curriculum can be achieved and students can understand them easily. The results of this study the author created a module equipped with a lesson plan that will answer the demands of KI and KD, in this case KD 3.7, 4.7 and 3.8, 4.8. The material in it presents examples of the story of the wayang golek purwa. The presence of the story of the wayang golek purwa can preserve the treasures of Indonesian culture, especially in the West Java region. In addition, its existence will be easily accepted by students (the students in question who are in the West Java region). The presence of the compiled teaching materials is expected to be used by teachers to convey KD 3.7, 3.8, 4.7, and 4.8 materials easily and can be understood by students, because the examples provided of the Purwa puppet story can be used at the 10th grade level, semester I.
