PRESERVATION OF THE BADUY LANGUAGE AS LOCAL WISDOM THROUGH AN ANDROID-BASED TOUR GUIDE APPLICATION

ABSTRACT: In modern era, everything is done with shopisticated, and the role of information technology is something that we cannot avoid, almost entering all aspects of human life such as in the fields of telecommunications, health, entertainment, business and not least in aspects of education and culture. However, this technological progress is not accompanied by the preservation of local cultural wisdom, including the cultural wisdom of the Baduy tribe in Lebak Regency. Baduy tourism is already a cultural tourist spot that is known throughout the world. The language used by visitors is Indonesian as the national language or English for foreign tourists. It is still rare for tourists to be served the local Baduy language to receive tourists by Tour Guide s, so tourists do not understand the local Baduy language as the language of local wisdom of the Baduy community. Therefore, it is important to introduce and preserve local wisdom culture, especially the Baduy language to Baduy tourist visitors so that the local Baduy language is known to tourists and even the world.
