ETHNOPEDAGOGICAL STUDY OF FOLK STORIES IKAN DEWA IN KUNINGAN DISTRICT

ABSTRACT: This research aims to examine the folklore of the god fish in Kuningan Regency. The fish god folklore is studied using an ethnopedagogical approach, using the Sundanese human outlook on life or human morals as the study material. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, the research data is the fish god folklore sourced from the field, observation, documentation and interviews are used as data collection techniques and analytical descriptions are used to process the data by applying a Sundanese ethnopedagogical approach which focuses on the Sundanese human outlook on life. or human morals. The results of this research show that 1) humans must have a sense of faith in destiny that humans are God's creatures. who must obey God's commands; 2) humans must dedicate themselves to God by carrying out his commands and avoiding his prohibitions; 3) humans must have self-esteem as evidenced by a sense of responsibility, honesty, caution in walking, this attitude can increase the self-esteem of humans themselves; , 4) humans must be able to protect and care for nature; 5) humans must be able to differentiate between what is their right and what is someone else's right; 6) humans must be able to show compassion, compassion and care for other humans; 7) in pursuing inner satisfaction, humans must have a sense of sincerity and gratitude within themselves; 8) in this story humans are taught how they can use their time wisely, and; 9) sincerity and gratitude are the values that humans must have in pursuing inner and outer satisfaction. Ethnopedagogical values are one source for strengthening national character.
