DEVELOPMENT OF THEMATIC TEACHING MATERIALS BASED ON THE DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL IN GRADE IV OF SD NEGERI 101781 PEMATANG LALANG

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The development of teaching materials is very important in the learning process because it can encourage students to receive and understand the material through the application of thematic teaching materials based on discovery learning. When teachers give explanations about thematic learning, they not only discuss the ideas that are memorized or written, but also how they relate to their daily lives and environment. However, the reality is that there are still discrepancies that cause students to pay less attention to the lessons given by teachers. This is seen in various ways such as not asking questions, not giving advice, and refusing to voice their opinions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the role of teaching materials played by teachers and students when developing thematic teaching materials based on discovery learning.
