The Use of Micro Video in Learning Poetry Appreciation

ABSTRACT: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of micro video in learning poetry appreciation among students of Kuningan University. By applying the pre-test post-test control group design method, this study compares the learning outcomes between the experimental group that uses micro video and the control group that uses conventional learning methods. The literature review produced a flowchart that summarized the effective learning steps, which was then tested in the experimental group. The results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed a significant difference in poetry appreciation ability after the use of micro video, with a Z value of -3.245 and a significance of 0.001. This discovery confirms that micro video can improve students' engagement and understanding of poetry, making it an innovative learning tool.
