BALANCE OF QUESTIONS AND LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY OF NATIONAL EXAM RESULTS IN INDONESIAN LANGUAGE AS SEEN FROM COMPETENCY STANDARDS AND BASIC COMPETENCIES (Study of National Exam Results at SMP Negeri 2 Kadugede for the 2012/2013 Academic Year)

Research on the analysis of the balance of questions and the level of difficulty of the Indonesian language National Examination results as seen from competency standards and basic competencies formulates the following problems: (1) How is the balance of questions in the Indonesian language National Examination seen from competency standards and basic competencies in junior high schools in the 2012/2013 academic year?; (2) How difficult were the Indonesian language National Examination results in terms of competency standards and basic competencies at SMP Negeri 2 Kadugede in the 2012/2013 academic year? The objectives of this study were (1) To determine the balance of Indonesian language National Examination questions in terms of competency standards and basic competencies in junior high schools in the 2012/2013 academic year. (2) To determine the level of difficulty of the Indonesian language National Examination results in terms of competency standards and basic competencies at SMP Negeri 2 Kadugede in the 2012/2013 academic year. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, with data processing techniques in the form of literature study and documentation. The population consisted of 50 multiple-choice questions and the results of the Indonesian language National Examination in the form of answer sheets from ninth-grade students at SMPN 2 Kadugede in the 2012/2013 academic year. A sample of 50 multiple-choice questions and the results of the from the 2012/2013 academic year as a sample. Based on the results of data analysis on the balance of questions and the level of difficulty of the Indonesian Language National Examination results, viewed from the competency standards and basic competencies that dominate the Indonesian Language National Examination questions, the competency standards are 50% reading and 50% writing. The difficulty level of the Indonesian Language National Examination results at SMPN 2 Kadugede that dominated was the difficult question category, consisting of questions 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 18, 21, 24 for reading competency standards, and questions 27, 28, 30, 33, 40, 44, and 49 in the writing section, and easy questions consisting of questions 4, 5, 11, 12, 15, 19, 20, 22, and 23 in the reading section, and questions 29, 34, 35, 42, 43, 45, 46, 47, 48, and 50 in the writing section.
